Margo Coulter

Margo J. Manning-Coulter has lived in Chicago since her arrival at Cook County Hospital on January 23, 1941. Reared, educated, and still living on the southeast side of the city, Margo retired from the Chicago Public School System on June 30, 2006, after a career as classroom teacher, curriculum coordinator and Assistant Principal. She’s taken some of her advice given to her students: “Write from your experience. Do it with passion. Your gifts will make room for you.”
